Manaslu trek Nov 2017
My boyfriend and I just did the Manaslu circuit trek with Rabin. We found Touch the Himalayas after scouring the forums on trip advisor and reaching out with a variety of agencies. We decided to go with Touch the Himalayas for a couple of reasons. First off, from the email correspondence with the owner Madan it was clear that he cared and he went above and beyond – answering all of my questions and even answering questions I didn’t know I had. Meeting him in person over tea solidified our decision.
Next we met our guide Rabin, AKA best guide ever. Rabin speaks very good English, is very knowledgeable (and from) the manaslu area, has a background in journalism so is knowledgeable about local politics, AND has an amazing sense of humor. He had our back the whole time, allowing us to switch tea houses and making sure our breakfast came first haha. The porter too was super friendly and made us smile every day.
Also, this agency seems to specialize in the Manaslu area so we highly recommend for this trek in particular although I’m sure they would do a stellar job in other regions.
