Langtang Valley trek
My friend and I have been planning a trek to the langtang region for the last 4-5 months. After not being able to find anything under $1300 online, we decided we’d take our chances and book something when we arrived in Thamel. Fortunately with these guys we were able to arrange transport, accomodation, a guide and 3 meals a day for less than $500!
Our good luck continued when we were introduced to our guide Raju. Raju was was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about not only the langtang region, but about loads of other parts of the Himalayas – Seeing as he was born and raised in the Manaslu area. Each day and night he delivered us all 3 of our days meals and was also kind enough to make us a post-dinner apple platter every night too.
Another thing definitely worth noting is how for the 2 day period I had terrible stomach cramps, Raju was constantly checking up on and asking me how I was going. Even arranging some belly settling garlic soup for me one afternoon and night.
I highly recommend the langtang trek and definitely recommend getting Raju as your guide.
ps if you’d like an infintely more comfortable ride there and back, pay the fraction extra for a jeep as opposed to the bus
