What Permits Do I need for the Manaslu regions treks ?

Manaslu is restricted  area, needs three different permits,  Manaslu Restricted permit (a special permit need to be obtained from the Immigration office)  and  the Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP),and  Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) while you are passing through Annapurna region at the end of the trek.

To obtain all these Permits you’ll need to provide a passport & photographs. Because of the Restricted Area Permit, the Government of Nepal can track how many trekkers a company is sending to these areas, estimate the number of staff sent with them, and the approximate income to the trekking company and then tax accordingly. Hence few companies will offer permits only without a guide.

WHY DO I NEED A GUIDE AND PORTERS FOR MANALSU REGION TREKS ?

Manaslu Regions are a restricted area where you need a special permit from the Nepal government immigration department. Guide and porters are very important during your MANASLU trek. On the other hand, you can also hire guides cum porters where guides carry your baggage and also do guiding as well.

Is there any ATM facility available during the Manaslu Region Treks?

There is no ATM facility available during the Manaslu region treks. You can get ATM facility before and after the trek in Arughat and Besishar but not during the trek. Thus you have to take enough money from Kathmandu before you start the trek.
