Manaslu Circuit
We first did the Manaslu Circuit in May 2014 but got caught in the huge snow storm that caused such a high loss of life in Annapurna circuit particularly. We decided it was unfinished business and we would return to get over the Larkla Pass.
I checked out travellers reviews and emailed Madan at Touch The Himalaya Treks. He responded quickly and answered all my questions we had about the trek and also a trip into Tibet.
After much back and forward communications, everything was set in place.
We met our guide/ porter, Roshan before we left and were pleased to find he was very experienced in this region and spoke great English. The whole journey with him worked out exceptional well. He is friendly, funny and tries to always please. We met up with a lovely group of fellow trekkers and several commented on how lucky we were to have him as our guide. He stayed with us each day during the trek and pointed out interesting features and information, we did note that a lot of the other guides didn’t do this.
We are 59 and 60, so no spring chickens but kept up a steady pace walking and had a heap of banter going on between us and Roshan which made the long slogs much more fun. He was also flexible and would change plans as required. We would highly recommend him and Touch the Himalaya Treks to anyone considering doing trekking.
