Overview

Trek from Renjo La Pass to Gokyo Lake and discover the breathtaking Himalayan landscape. To get to the pristine Gokyo Lakes, go through charming villages and over high mountain slopes. Plan your adventure right away! Gokyo Lake (4800m/15748 feet), Renjo la pass (5360m/17585feet) trekking is no doubt one of the most spectacular mountain areas in Everest region. This trek starts at the Lukla (2828m/9278 feet) and follows the Dudh Koshi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche.

The trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent up the valley passes through the patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the indescribable musk deer can sometimes be seen. Through small yak-grazing settlements, we reach to Gokyo lakes. An excursion to the Gokyo fourth and fifth lakes would be an attraction in Gokyo Valley. The Ngozumpa Glacier is the largest in the Nepal Himalayas. The Gokyo Ri (5330m/17487 feet) is considered as the best view point in the Everest Region. The incredible sceneries including magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Makalu (8463m), Cho Oyo (8201m), Lhotse (8516m) , Gyachung Kang (7922m) and other mountains. Set among breath-taking high mountain surroundings, the route leads through the Khumbu the motherland of Sherpa. The Renjo-La pass (5360m/17585feet) trek is crossing from Gokyo valley or Lumdeng. Renjo la pass gives an alternative way to the Gokyo trek making a circuit. Renjo la pass provides a lifetime memory of panoramic views of the Everest and others Himalayan range. The Renjo-La Pass route is off the usual beaten track.At the pass, a great view of the Gokyo lakes on one side, the Rermo Pokhari lakes on the other side, and a numerous of snowy peaks are in the background, which provide as incredible atmosphere.
After nice view from the Renjo-La top, the trail descends following Thame valley. We then trek down by making our way back down to Lukla.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Check Into hotel.


  • Airport pick up and hotel transfer
  • Rest of the day is free at leisure
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Kathmandu
You will be warmly welcomed at the airport by our office representative and then you will transfered to hotel.

Day 2: Trek preparation and Kathmandu Sightseeing.

  • Pick up by our team and head to our office for your trek briefing and preparation
  • Afternoon sightseeing in Kathmandu
    • Kathmandu Durbar Square
    • Swayambunath Monkey Temple
  • Drop of at your hotel
  • Overnight in Kathmandu
Our staff will give brief explanation about the program and you will visit  cultural heritages, which includes some of the famous world heritages sites like, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, etc.

Day 3: ​Fly to Lukla (2828 meters, 30 minutes) then trek to Phakding (2610 meters, 3 hours walking).

Day 4: ​Phakding to Namche (3440m, 5 hours walking).

Day 5: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar and then overnight at same Lodge.


  • Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar and then overnight at same Lodge.
  • We can hike this day, the way up Syangboche, Everest View Hotel and Khumjung village.
  • The Himalayas views including Thamserku, Mt.Everest (world highest peak), Mt. Lhotse, Konde, Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Tawoche are excellent from Everest view Hotel.

Day 6: Trek to Dole (4200m, 6/7 hours walking).

Day 7: Trek to Machhermo (4470 m, 5/6 hours walking).

Day 9: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5330 m, 3 hours walking).

Day 10: Trek to Renjo Pass (5360m) - Lungdeng (4600m 7/8 hours walking).

Day 11: ​Trek to Thame (3800m).

Day 12: ​Trek to Namche Bazaar.

Day 13: Trek down to Lukla and overnight at Lodge.

Day 14: Fly back to kathmandu early in the morning (35 minutes).


Fly back to kathmandu early in the morning (35 minutes) overnight at selected Hotel.

Day 15: Departure Flight Back to Say Goodbye and good and safe journey.

  • Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Touch The Himalayan will transfer you to the airport.
