Overview

The route from Kathmandu to Helambu, which passes through some of the most breathtaking terrain on earth, is to the north. In this Helambu trek, trekkers can take a cultural tour of the area. Most of the residents in this region are Sherpas. Along the trip, there are a lot of monasteries that you may see, but unless you are at the beginning or conclusion of the trek, it may be difficult to see the mountains. From Sundarijal, a hike leads to this location.

TRIP HIGHTLIGHTS

  • Step into the Himalayan Buddhist culture and visit the stupas and monasteries along the trail.
  • Helambu trek is a short trek and is close to Kathmandu valley with beautiful scenery in Langtang region.
  • The trail follows a beautiful pine forest and green meadows. We will pass by the famous azaleas.
  • Trek offers a non-dispersive view of the 7000m Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges.
  • We will also explore and follow the path of Shivapuri National Park.
  • Learn about Hylmo culture and the local Tamang community.
  • Moderate trek level reaches a maximum altitude of 3500m.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Check Into hotel.


  • Airport pick up and hotel transfer
  • Rest of the day is free at leisure
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Kathmandu
You will be warmly welcomed at the airport by our office representative and then you will transfered to hotel.

Day 2: Trek preparation and Kathmandu Sightseeing.


  • Hotel breakfast
  • Pick up by our team and head to our office for your trek briefing and preparation
  • Afternoon sightseeing in Kathmandu
    • Kathmandu Durbar Square
    • Swayambunath Monkey Temple
  • Drop of at your hotel
  • Overnight in Kathmandu
Our staff will give brief explanation about the program and you will visit  cultural heritages, which includes some of the famous world heritages sites like, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, etc.

Day 3: Drive to Sundharijal by Car & Trek to Chisapani.

  • You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today!
  • We hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and are sure you`ll be back in your trip somewhere in the Himalaya again.
  • Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Touch The Himalayan will transfer you to the airport.
  • On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

What's included

  • Airport pick up and drop off by Car, jeep, Hiace or Bus. Depends on the number of arrives.
  • Complimentary welcome or farewell dinner according to the suitability of our client’s time.
  • Beginning two nights stay on arrival in Kathmandu in tourist standard hotel with breakfast included (twin share basis).
  • Internal transport and flight within Nepal as per the itinerary.
  • All necessary trekking and restricted area permit & fees.
  • Three meals a day during the trek.
  • All accommodation during trek.
  • An experienced, English-speaking, government-licensed, first aid trained Manaslu special trekking guide and assistant guide (5 trekkers: 1 assistant guide).
  • Duffel bag, (to be returned after trip completion), complementary trekking maps. If needed down jacket and sleeping bag will be provided in rent.
  • Staff costs including their salary, insurance, equipment, transport, food and accommodation.
  • Rescue arrangements if necessary.
  • Basic First-aid kit (carried by your trekking guide).
  • All government and local taxes for Trekking, Agency service charge and government tax/vat.
  • Achievement Certificate.

What's not included

  • International airfare and Nepal visa fee.
  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (due to any reason) than in the scheduled itinerary.
  • Personal insurance which covers medical, emergency evacuation, loss or theft of property.
  • Personal gears and equipment.
  • Personal expenses such as laundry, hot showers, battery charging, Wifi, etc.
  • Entry fees and costs in sightseeing (temples, monasteries, etc).
  • Tips and gratitude provided to guide and porter.
