Overview

Everest three high pass trek is one of Challenging and Strenuous trek in Khumbu Everest region of Nepal. You are doing  the best adventure passes during trek Khangma-La Pass (5535m) Chola-La pass (5368m) , Renjo La pass (5338m) and  other high light  such as Gokyo Ri, Fifth Lake, Kalapatther and Everest Base Camp. The trekking is strenuous type. You should have physically fitness and experience of doing some trekking.

The three high pass trek Starts at the Lukla (2828m/9278 feet) and follows the Dudh Koshi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital of Namche, a bustling bazaar that’s a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expedition’s route to the mighty Mt. Everest. All along this part of the trail, its friendly Sherpa people, picturesque villages great variety of culture and traditions, colorful festivals and monasteries. The flora and fauna are other ornaments of the Sagarmatha National Park. The three pass trekking is continuously rewarded with dramatic Himalayan scenes, including four of the world's eight highest peaks; Cho Oyu (8,201m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516 m) and Everest (8,850m) and other mountains.This is a kind of circuit trek. We ascend all the way to Chhukung for khangma- La pass (5535m). We also have a chance to visit Kalapatther (5550m, close view of Everest) and Everest Base Camp (5364m, Khumbu icefall). After exploring this imaging place, we cross over Chola-La pass (5368m) to go to Gokyo Valley. An excursion to the fourth and fifth lakes would be an extra attraction in Gokyo Valley from where the views are great. The Ngozumpa Glacier is the largest in the Nepal Himalayas. The Gokyo Ri (5330m/17487 feet) is considered as the best view point in the entire Everest Region. Renjo la pass provides a lifetime memory of panoramic views of the Everest and others Himalayan range. The Renjo La pass route is off the usual beaten track. At the pass, a great view of the Gokyo lakes on one side, the Rermo Pokhari lakes on the other side, and a numerous of snowy peaks are in the background, which provide as incredible atmosphere.

After nice view from the Renjo-La top, the trail descends following Thame valley. We then trek down by making our way back down to Lukla. The Everest Three High Pass Trek can be done by clock wise or anti-clockwise. We  can organize it   as your desire and requirement  clock wise or anti-clockwise.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Check Into hotel.


  • Airport pick up and hotel transfer
  • Rest of the day is free at leisure
  • Overnight stay at your hotel in Kathmandu
You will be warmly welcomed at the airport by our office representative and then you will transfered to hotel.

Day 2: Trek preparation and Kathmandu Sightseeing.


  • Hotel breakfast
  • Pick up by our team and head to our office for your trek briefing and preparation
  • Afternoon sightseeing in Kathmandu
    • Kathmandu Durbar Square
    • Swayambunath Monkey Temple
  • Drop of at your hotel
  • Overnight in Kathmandu
Our staff will give brief explanation about the program and you will visit  cultural heritages, which includes some of the famous world heritages sites like, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, etc.

Day 3: ​Kathmandu to Lukla and then Phakding (2610m, 3hours walking).

Day 6: ​Namche to Tengboche (3867m, 5hours walking).

Day 8: Rest day in Dingboche.

Day 9: ​Dengboche to Chhukung (4700m, 3 hours walking).

Day 10: Chukkung to Khangma la pass 5535m to Lobuche (4930m, 9 hours walking).


  • Chukkung to Khangma la pass 5535m to Lobuche (4930m, 9 hours walking) and then overnight at Lodge.
  • We leave early in the morning because this day is hard and long day so we take pack lunch from chhukung.
  • There is no Lodge between Chhukung and Lobuche.

Day 11: ​Lobuche to Gorekshep (5100m,3 hours walking) and rest of day we hike to Everest base camp (5366m).

Day 12: Visit Kalapather (5550m) in the morning view of Mt Everest and other mountains and then trek to Dzongla (4900m, 6 hours walking).

Day 13: ​Dzongla to Dragnak (4700m, 7hours walking) via Chola pass (5368m).

Day 14: Dragnak to Gokyo (4700m, 3 hours walking).

Day 15: Mainly Rest day in Gokyo, although you can also go up Gokyo Peak (5410 m/17749 ft).

  • Our day begins with a steep climb to the top of Gokyo Ri (5483m).
  • Despite the early start all those who attempt this will be rewarded with some of the most spectacular views.
  • Overlooking the Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier and taking in the panoramic views of the whole Khumbu Himalayas.
  • See the giants Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu (8481m), Cho-oyu (8153m) and Gychung Kang (7922m).
  • Take time to enjoy the views or for the more adventurous explore the glacier and Gokyo peak before returning to the camp fternoon.

Day 16: Gokyo to Lungdeng(4600m) over the renzo pass (5338m,7/8 hours walking).

Day 17: Lungdeng to Thame (3800m, 4 hour walking).

Day 20: we catch a 30-minute flight back to Kathmandu


Kathmandu to Lukla. This morning, we catch a 30-minute flight back to Kathmandu, where we will spend the night at a chosen hotel.

Day 21: Departure Flight Back to Say Goodbye and good and safe journey.


  • You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today!
  • We hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and are sure you`ll be back in your trip somewhere in the Himalaya again.
  • Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Touch The Himalayan will transfer you to the airport.
  • On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

What's included

  • Duffel bag, (to be returned after trip completion), complementary trekking maps. If needed down jacket and sleeping bag will be provided in rent.
  • Staff costs including their salary, insurance, equipment, transport, food and accommodation.
  • Rescue arrangements if necessary.
  • Basic First-aid kit (carried by your trekking guide).
